I am sad to announce I have just heard on the radio that radio legend John Peel has died of a heart attack.
John was an amazing DJ and will be sorely missed. |

Yeah, I just heard this on the TV news now. :( It was a definite shock, he certainly wasn't the oldest or most willing to go.
He was a very entertaining DJ then fully deserved his mass appeal and respect as one of the greatest of all time. He seemed a very nice fella too, he'll be sorely missed and my thoughts go to his family. |

I just told my mum and she is gutted! She met him once at Glastonbury Festival and thought the world of him!
It is such a shame! |

Hey John Peel, according to some guy here called Jon1983uk, en some Lady called Mullin, Yo seemed to be a hero to them and many more. Though I didnt know yo buddy, May u Live a good life there We shall miss Yo. :smt059

| You are damn right there my mum has been a fan of John since I can remember! And it really made her year one year when she got the opportunity to meet him at Glastonbury Festival! She was so chuffed she didn’t stop going on about it for the rest of the year. |
