A bit lighter tone this time, I wrote this one years ago when the kids were small (ok, now I feel old).
:newb:
“Oh for Heavens’ sake,� sighed Michael.
“Here we go again.
Your constant use of Metaphors
Just drives me round the bend.�
“Can’t you ever keep things simple,
State things as they are?
Instead of travelling for light years
Just say you’re going to go far.�
“Must anger be like a tiger’s
Must speed be a lightning bolt?
Do we have to be as dead as a Dodo?
Is a good person compared to salt?�
“Why are hard things just like nails?
Is someone good just like gold?
Does the fact I’m cold mean I’m ice?
Why compare me to hills when I’m old?�
“I’m really sick of comparisons.
Of things being called what they’re not.
A spades’ a spade as far as I can see
What you see is what you’ve got.�
“Just tell me plain and simple
What are you trying to say?
No fancy words or sayings please
Go on – make my day!�

| Hehe, I'm not really a teacher :lol: I wouldn't mind doing night school teaching though, but I think that's all above me right now. :) |

I do teach scallies English though, just not in a school. I teach them unnofficially in the alley next to my house whenever I open the window and scream obscenities at them. :lol: |
