Indie Top 10 Albums

1 – Last Shawdow Puppets – The Age Of The Understatement

An album that shows a gentler alternative sound from the pulsating vibe of the Arctic Monkeys.

2 – Adele – 19

The on going trend of powerful female vocalists is here to stay as Adele follows hot on the heels of Kate Nash and Lilly Allen.

3 – Raconteurs – Consolers Of The Lonely

The album that the band didn’t want you to hear! Hidden from the press, this record was released straight to the fans for a brilliant follow up record.

4 – Vampire Weekend – Vampire Weekend

A kooky listen from this new band who offer a somewhat alternative sound from everything else out there. One to watch.

5 – Radiohead – In Rainbows

Oxford’s finest remain strong with their latest release. Forget the hype of how it was released, this album is one to rival the genius of OK Computer.

6 – Pigeon Detectives – Wait For Me

More rock n roll madness from Leeds and the Pigeons offer an album full of sing a long choruses that will be a hit at all festivals.

7 – Pendulem – Hold Your Colour

Australian drum and base act Pendulem brought the sound of this underground dance genre back from the dead and in to the mainstream again.

8 – Story Of The Year – The Black Swan

Third album from Story Of The Year and they don’t disappoint us at all. The American alt-rock lord bring us an album brimming with songs that should be heard by more people.

9 - Four Tet – Ringer

First offering from Kieran Hebden and his Four Tet project for five years. A sweeping blend of minimal techno draws away from his folktronica routes.

10 – Alabama 3 – Hits And Exit Wounds

Combining acid house and a whole matter of other genres, Alabama 3 take through a ride of totally originality.
