Duffy - ROCKFERRY
After the super-smash of mercy, comes from the album ROCKFERRY and warwick avenue. I have picked up on these two 'extra' songs because they are slower and much more a thinking man's tunes. Warwick is an ode to the great Dionne Warwick and her ability to set a scenec of downheartedness through her songs. Duffy too does it well, and rockferry is a song about the pressures of stardom, very slow pace where Duffy can grace the song with her unique voice and really show the range of her talent. The audience range is abolished for Duffy. hits like mercys can easily carry the whole album itself, yet rockferry and warwick avenue really shows the quality of depth of Duffy as a british musician.
