Tell a Friend Posted: Thu Mar 27, 2008 7:43 pm    Post subject: Jericho locked and "Reloaded" over Fozzy album re-

[quoteWhether Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho is performing in front of thousands inside a wrestling ring or on a stage with his band Fozzy, fans can always expect to get their money’s worth.

“I always do the best that I can. I’ve been very fortunate that people have stuck with me all these years,” said Jericho with a grin on his face. “No matter what I’m doing with Fozzy, with WWE, or with my having a New York Times best-selling book [A Lion’s Tale: Around the World in Spandex], people follow what I do. They know they’re going to get quality, and that I’m never going to rip them off.

Before he makes his WrestleMania return this Sunday in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match – a concept he’s credited with creating – Y2J fanatics will be able to meet their favorite Superstar Thursday (4-6 p.m. ET), at the Virgin Megastore in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Jericho will be on hand signing autographs and celebrating the re-release of Fozzy’s critically acclaimed album All That Remains Reloaded. First released in October 2005, it’s the heavy-metal band’s third and most successful album to date.

“It’s a collector’s item. People who get the CD will get a nice souvenir,” explained the swaggering “Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla.” “The coolest thing is that the album has been out for three years, and it’s still selling. The re-release gives people who haven’t heard it another chance.”

Since forming in 1999, Fozzy has performed in front of sold-out audiences around the globe, sharing venues with heavy metal goliaths like Slayer, System of a Down and Black Sabbath.

“Fozzpel” worshippers will find an added bonus inside All That Remains Reloaded: A DVD chronicling the band’s live performance in front of 20,000 screaming fans during one of their United Kingdom tours. According to Y2J, the DVD is testament to the band’s recent success.

“We’re not Metallica, nor do we claim to be. But on five tours we sold 90 percent of our shows in England. You can’t complain about that,” Y2J explained. “When we were touring, people were coming to see Fozzy, not Chris Jericho. To grow Fozzy as a brand name the same way I grew Chris Jericho as a brand name means a great deal to me on a personal level. It’s always hard to get lightning to strike twice.”

Jericho’s achievements in both music and sports-entertainment have not changed his humble demeanor, however.

“When I was a kid, my dream was to be a wrestler or a rock star. To get a chance to do both on a professional level — whether I’m doing it in front of 70 people or 70,000 people — is such a huge honor. I’ve been very fortunate to follow both my dreams and have them come true on different levels.”[/quote]
