Harry Potter stars and Matt Birch, Creative Director of ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’ videogame, discuss the magic that awaits in the latest Potter instalment
This Summer is going to be a cauldron of delights for Harry Potter fans. Harry, Ron and Hermione are all set to return to the big screen in this summer's blockbuster, ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’.
But if are you a Potter fan who doesn’t just want to see Harry Potter but to live and breathe him then your chance is finally here with the release of the most lifelike and magical videogame in the series: ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’. Now you can flick your wand, don your cape, cast a spell and become the Boy Who Lived in endless scrapes and adventures. The game has been developed for the next generation consoles offering fans the ability to become their favourite characters, including Harry Potter, Dumbledore and Sirius Black.
The designers spent over 18 months painstakingly recreating every minute detail of ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’ to make it the most authentic game to date. Using the blueprints of the movie and recording the voices of 22 of the films stars including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, the game creates an immersive and, above all, faithful Harry Potter experience.
Join the movie stars Rupert (Ron), Emma (Hermione), Tom Felton (Draco) and Katie Leung (Cho Chang) as they talk about their roles in the movie and the game.
And in a rare opportunity Matt Birch, Creative Director of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, takes us backstage to reveal the secrets behind the new game and the pressure he felt to create a world that was true to J.K. Rowling's fantastical creation and the inventiveness of the films.
