Being virtually unable to breath in recent years for the hoards of pre-packaged, pre-styled and virtually pre-obsolete punk/ ska/ indie bands being rammed down our throats; self professed 'powerful party pop rock' band Miss Conduct are a refreshingly authentic blast of electrified air to the alternative scene.

One of the most recent signings to giant alternative label Visible Noise – to which bands such as Lost Prophets and Bullet for my Valentine are signed - they have a lot to live up to. Thankfully they don't disappoint and their first album, 'Sinner vs. Sinned', is a delicious mix of feisty lyrics, heavy rock riffs and energetic drumming that even the most cynical anti-pop fan of rock will find themselves tapping their feet and eventually wind-milling away to.

Much unlike the usual timid female frontmen in rock, their lead singer, Kim Waterson, manages to front the band with fiery energy and self-confidence clear even through the usually inexpressive medium of recorded music. The rest of the band support her with speedy drumming and heavy rock riffs.

With some amazing anthemic floor fillers, such as the rocking 'Six feet under' and fast-paced punk 'Waiting for you', the album has a lot to offer and, although there are a few suspect filler tracks, it has an originality and eloquence in the formula that - whether your favourite band's McFly or MachineHead - makes this album one to buy and the band one to look out for in the future.
