Is Pop idol still top telly ?

Nah, I personally think it has run its course now. The highlight for me is the ppl who are really, really bad. :lol:

oh pop idol, yeah a bit poo if you ask me, the 1st one was ok towards the end, the 2nd was nowhere near as good, the contestants werent half as talented as the previous lot. aint gareth just the cutest,

and if it wasn't for pop idol, we would never have had the CHEEKY GIRLS, how would i have ever slept never seeing those 2 wiggle their tiny butts in gold hot pants, my life is complete now, not :) i actually saw them live it was the funniest thing ever, i totally recomend a few pints 1st, great entertainment value those 2 are.

:smt023 :smt023 :smt023 Well Said Clem. I have wondered the same ... GOOD RAW TALENT is so lacking in the music industry.....IMHO. I am passionate about all kinds of music and pretty much listen to it every waking hour, but I just cant get excited about a lot of the new stuff. I am very much into 60's, 70's, 80's and some of the 90's stuff ... LOL!! I guess my age is showing, but even my kids who are 17 and 23 agree that most my my music is pretty cool.

I'm looking into broadcasting music from this site, like an Internet Radio station, so hopefully we should be able to listen to some good music.

The radio station is live now.. we just need to do a few more tests before we finally release it.

I hate folk that laugh at what they wouldn't have the ba**s to do themselves. If you had been on there Shell, you would have been a better person than anyone who had laffed huns :)

My hubby is tone deaf and when he sings it is woeful but I try not to comment becos he feels happy when he is "singing" and expressing himself...lol

IMHO...it is a crying shame that the Pop Idol programme makes "stars" and loads of dosh from wannabes that don't want to work their way up there with the good vocalists. A lot of the "older" artists have lasted the test of time because of experience and hard work/talent. These manufactured "artists" cannot compete.
