Blimy! I thought it would be competitive but not quite so dramatic!!!
Got to give Limond some credit first. He's one hell of a tough bugger. Even with a broken jaw and nose he wanted to continue and his skills were underrated by most people (possably even by Khan himself).
I wouldn't say it was a great performance by Khan though. Gifted though he is, he has to sort out some basic flaws in his technique. Up untill now his limited opponents have been mesmerised by his flashing hands but when he challenges for a world title he's going to need the whole package - movement, defence and tactics. Not that i'm assuming he's chinny but he can't let himself get hit so easily when he challenges the big punchers and Limond is no Mike Tyson! Right now i'd even have resevations about putting him in with the best of British; Alex Arthur, Thaxton and especially his young rival Kevin Mitchell.
However, if he's the man i think he is he will come back stronger and wizer. I can't question his heart now either! |
