Every song on this album is supposed to be about cancer which I find interesting. I can’t think of many bands that have made their whole album about cancer. Welcome to the Black Parade (Track 5) was an excellent choice for a first single because this song has freshness to it. I love the fact that it starts on a calm, relaxed tone and then sets off to a full rollercoaster ride going to the full swing of emotions. I Don’t Love You (Track 6) would be an ideal choice if you don’t like very loud music. This track differs from the rest of the album with softness and a slightly slower pace of the beat.

If you want to dance to the full swing Teenagers would be your best choice because this song has a fast beat to it and sets a good mood for stepping on the dance floor. The best song on this album has to be Disenchanted (Track 12) simply because the honesty and the passion in every word can be felt from the beginning to the last word. I think that My Chemical Romance have done generally well on this album although I don’t see them bringing any new techniques in to the rock genre. They do show a more gentle side to the genre which brings new interest in their music.

Every video that they make is fun to watch because they are not just singers, they are performers. In almost every video the lead singer changes his color of hair from black to white. I think this shows the fact that My Chemical Romance like to change their looks in order to show new sides to their music or perhaps to tell a different story compared to the previous one. If you listen to the words in each song you will understand how they are all linked to cancer. You can find the lyrics inside the album cover along with a poster of the band. One thing that I never understood is the girl with a pipe on her mouth in Welcome to the Black Parade video. What has she got to do with anything? If you know the answer, do let me know what it is!

I disagree that they did "generally well on this album." All 3 MCR albums are completely different, but all of them are equally as good as each other. I think it's an awesome album; one of the best of 2007.

And as for the girl with a pipe in her mouth in the video, this can relate back to the subject of a cancer patient coz we all know there is an established link between smoking and cancer. That's just my theory anyway.
