The first thing that springs to mind when you hear 'The Bealtes' is the top selling band worldwide ever and still are going strong today.
The history of The Beatles is traced back to march 1957 when John Lennon and his childhood friend Pete Shotton started a group called 'The Black Jacks' , they soon changed thier name to 'The Quarry Men' their gigs were moslty neighbourhood events.
In July 1957 The Quarry Men had just finished playing at their local church when John Lennon was introduced to a guitarist, James Paul Mcartney by a fellow band member. Paul was then asked to join the band and then on october 18th Paul made his debut performance.
In september John went to the Liverpool college of art while Paul and George Harrison were still at school, during this they became mutual friends unknowing where this friendship would lead them in the future.
On feb 6th 1958 George became a member of the quarry men.
On august 16th 1961 Ringo Starr excepted to The Beatles new drummer.
On september 11th The Beatles first single'Love me do' went to number 17 and stayed in the charts for 18 weeks.
The BeAtles had a string on songs that didnt make until 1964 when 'She loves you' reached no1!!
Since then The Beatles have had a strong career (well until Yoko came anyway) with hit songs including Penny Lane, Help, Yellow submarine, A hard days night, cant buy me love and when im 64!! Also releasing two hit videos (which I own copies of) Help and Hard days night.
In 1966 The Beatles played their last gig in San Francisco after this the arguements started between the band members and then Paul announces he is leaving the band in 1970 to start a solo career (which is going greatly ... NOT).
After Paul announces his departure, the bands breaks up
In 1975 John Lennon left his music career to look after his son Sean.
Sadly John Lennon died in 1980 at Roosevelt Hospital on December 8, 1980, after receiving multiple gun shot in the back. (ohh this is making me tearful as John Lennon created the Beatles and with Paul, Ringo and George, they made great music together)
As I said as soon as I started writing this the Beatles is a popular household name, lots of people grew up with thir parents listening to the Beatles or hearing about them throught the tv or radio.
I will never forget the Beatles in my time and Im sure non of you will either.

I actually recommend reading,listening and watching everything that The Beatles have ever done, I love the Beatles and Im sure that your feeling the same.
Despite the fact that The Beatles finished in such a tragic way, they are still going to live forever throughout nearly if not everybody's heats and souls.
I suggest you watch 'Help' and 'Hard days night', which is so classic and so funny. These are the funniest scousers you are ever to see.
They have so many albums that each one is so special with different, fantastc songs on each album!! I especailly love Revolvong door becasue it has like an authentic song on it which sounds completly different to the rest of the others.
The main reason I love the Betales, is they were quite scrummy!!
No seriously, Is that they were so loved and still loved by so many people of ages, cultures and origin and that all my family loves them, My grandad still has his records.

| The Beatles are legends! They were the ones who started Rock and Roll! Without then we wouldnt have music as it is today! |
