I know it's not technically a music festival, but the headliners featured at the recent Hyde Park fiesta were worth raving about.
The White Stripes took centre stage on 14th June and played the crowd to a euphoric high to kickstart the festival. Faithless, who followed on Day Two did not disappoint either. They had the crowd on their feet for about 75 minutes bouncing and body-surfing. And Saturday night was slamming as Daft Punk's set had me humming and singing their music even when I was on the bus home.
The Kaiser Chiefs were set to be the grand finale and I had high expectations. Imagine my dismay when the act was cruelly disappointing. Either the sound system failed them or the Kaiser Chiefs failed their following because it was not a performance to be remembered for me.
If you were at Hyde Park too, tell me what you think! |
