Post-season shopping has already begun for some clubs as memories of the 06/07 season slowly fades away - I am still surfing www.youtube.com for some highlights cos I am so suffering from withdrawal. But the transfer market is opened now and who-leaves-who-stays gets the most column space in all media.
Amidst talks of the uncertainty of Arsenal's captain future, Francesc Fabregas has said that he will leave the club should Wenger quit. Although he had just recently signed a long term contract with Arsenal, the young midfield genius said, "My future at Arsenal is almost completely linked to that of Arsene Wenger." He continued to say that if Wenger goes, he is 90% sure that he will move on to other seemingly greener pastures. That is the kind of impact Arsene Wenger has on his team.
Franck Ribery, who has been on Arsenal's watchlist, may also be out of the club's grasp. Bayern Munich is set to snap up the impressive World Cup star at a fee of £15million.
Gilberto Silva will miss Arsenal's pre-season training as he will be captaining Brazil's Copa America campaign. He will be unavailable for Arsenal's first-leg Champions League qualifier and the opening Premiership game for the 07/08 season.
Ranieri has gone to Juventus instead of Manchester City and he has been tasked to lure Frank Lampard to the Italian team. He'd have to fend off Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid who are also vying for the signature of the English midfielder.
Khalid Boulahrouz is on his way out of the Blues as he is prepped to move to Bayern Munich for £3.5million. That's half the price he was signed for. Having signed Steve Sidwell and Pizarro, Mourinho is looking also to offload Geremi.
Meanwhile, Claude Makelele has his eyes on a move to the US after his contract ends next summer.
Fulham are looking to secure Antti Niemi's services for the rest of his career. Talks are currently underway and seemed to be "going well".
After a dreadful season at West Ham, Marlon Harewood has been told that he is allowed to leave the Hammers. Wigan, Manchester City, Sunderland and Birmingham are anxiously waiting for the striker's next move.
What's your juicy transfer rumour?

Funniest one i heard was that West Ham are trying to buy Andy Johnson, Artetta, and Cahill from Everton. I think their fans actually believe it possable too.
I think West Ham and their fans need to stop punching above their weight. This is the equivalent of Everton trying to sign Lampard, Drogba and Essien from Chealsea. Nice thought, but it's never going to happen.
The only thing the Hammers could offer over us is (perhaps) better wages and if any of those players did leve Everton it certainly won't be for them. |
