Oh, dear. Another drab performance. What is happening to our soccer team? Why are we so poor and what can be done about it? Will we even qualify  ?
We have a great side on paper, we have the players so what is it? Tactics, formation, motivation, too much pressure to succeed or the manager? I really don't have an answer to this. |

| I did see the game live on Saturday and England really lacked something. Both Rooney and Johnson did not look as though they were going to score. The defence looked shaky. With a performance like that England would struggle to do well in Euro 2008 |

I think most people would agree that the ginger grinner wasn't the right man for the job and he's done nothing to prove any of his critics wrong.
Something no one's picked up on though is when Mclaren was appointed one of the first things he said was that he "wasn't going to put square pegs into round holes". Yet we had two right footed players playing down the left and Gerrard on the wing. Doh! |

| We did score but it was not an impressive performance... the pressure is still on for Steve McClaren's men to deliver a tournament winning performance |

I think he's got a couple of games max to save his neck.
Also, as an Everton fan i have to defend AJ. Some of the media seem to be writing him off which is out of order. He wasn't great but he was one of our better players in both games. The fact is he got very little service from the midfield and Rooney didn't seem to want to pass to him. Despite this he ran his socks off and was a nusence to the opposition defence. As someone who watches him every week i'm sure that if he was given a decent run in the side and the right service from his team mates he would get the job done. |

I really hope they pull their socks up.
Scotland seem to be doing very well. |

| Wayne Rooney's performance has really picked up at the tail end of this season for United which could be a good sign for England |
