we dont care what music you listen to really.
just that it has a scene. something to belong to. something that gives you a buzz to be part of. something that give you a social status. and britney and justin dont do that.
is it rock, rap, or dance that give you your buzz.
personally im a dance head and i dont mean that cheezy house crap you hear on top of the pops week in week out. i aint watched that since i was about 12.
i fell in love with garage at the time. i became a 12 year old music junkie from then on an the clubs were my church. (under 18s of course). even at the under age clubs we had big DJs, the likes of EZ, dj luck, PSG, heartless kru an the dreem teem were regulars. my clubbin days moved on an became bigger an better, even to the stage of travelling hundreds of miles just to see a single dj play his or her set.
these days im a drum an bass fan, jungle, happy hardcore, old skool and others float my boat. im also a bedroom dj but have played many a mates party and im pretty good. i just love the feelin of being part of a movement that says F**k you to diluted manufactured popcrap. i hate it. and anyone who has that feelin feel free to add to my rambling. |
