Hi Shelly,

I have never been on 18-30s holidays myself.... always seemed a bit to riotous for my liking.

I always preferred city breaks.

never been. kinda wanted to for a while but now i dont think its my cup of tchai. my girlfriends mate booked her an my girl on one with out consulting me an i went mental. suffice to say she never went in the end. id rather spend time in a 50-50 type environment. like somewhere quiet but also within reach of the party places. my mother (yes my mother!) suggests somewhere like palma nova which is close enough to magaluf in majorca to party but far enough to not find the streets covered in teenage puke every morning.

Hi Shelly,
I have to agree with the general consensus here. I tend to steer clear of prepackaged holidays - its much more fun to have my own vague plan and wing it until we gotta leave...

Mind you when you wing it, you have quite a few days when you think "Awww forget(okay not quite that) it, lets go chill at the beach..." and miss all the sights that way.

My worst holiday was when my wife and I were going to Nottingham to attend a robot event. The event was cancelled - and Nottingham is the most boring rotten hole I have ever spent 3 days in.. I think the gun crime is down to the boredom factor.

Haha I am sure that aint true...well it could be! I go on self-catering package holidays...we always plan everything ourselves when we are there and try to stay clear of the reps!!

Has anyone here ever been to a centreparcs resort? I have been toying with the idea for a while. I want to hear from real people (not sales people)...

Yeah in certain places some of the excursions are amazing! Like we went to the Dolphin show in Mallorca and that was amazing! Just sometimes they are a bloody waste of money!!
