Horses worth watching compiled by handicapper/racing writer Greg Melikov won three races and finished second five times since Oct. 25.
AQUEDUCT
Dantastic: Raced more than 5 ½ lengths behind in seventh after a half-mile, rallied wide to gain second despite running very greenly and lost by a length at a mile on Nov. 18.
CALDER
One of the Best: Broke last, bumped immediately, but rushed up to race third early, dropped back to fourth more than a length behind after a half-mile, lost ground entering stretch, rallied to make up more than 2 ½ lengths and lost by a head and a half-length at 1 1/16 miles on the turf Nov. 19.
HAWTHORNE
Worththebother: Trailed early, advanced four wide to seventh more than three lengths behind after a half-mile, rallied from fifth in stretch to make up 1 ½ lengths and gained second by a half-length at 6 ½ lengths on Nov. 19.
HOLLYWOOD PARK
Key Rose: Bobbled at break, raced five lengths back in fourth after a half-mile, dropped back to fifth in stretch, made up 2 ¼ lengths and lost by three-quarters of a length at six furlongs on the turf Nov. 19.
LAUREL
Latourell Lad: Bobbled leaving gate, raced 10th more than eight lengths behind after three-eighths of a mile, swung wide between rivals in upper stretch, rallied from sixth to make up nearly 6 ½ lengths and lost by a neck and a head at 5 ½ furlongs on Nov. 18.
PHILADELPHIA PARK
J Silverheels: Raced fifth more than 3 ½ lengths behind after a half-mile, dropped back to sixth in stretch, rallied inside to make up more than two lengths and lost by a neck at seven furlongs on a sealed sloppy surface on Nov. 13.
