Kruiz Interview by Peter Staniforth 2006.

PETER) : Tell us a little about your childhood.

KRUIZ ) : I grew up in Bedfordshire in a council house, so don’t bitch people; because I have worked to get to where I am now. My mum died when I was young, so I have always been a fighter.

PETER) : That must have been very difficult to deal with at such an age. When did you first view wrestling?

KRUIZ) : When I was a kid, I used to watch World Of Sport wrestling on a Saturday afternoon with my dad.

PETER) : Would you say that you knew then you wanted to be a wrestler?

KRUIZ) : Nope. I didn’t get into wrestling until I quit competitive martial arts because of an injury. I missed kicking people I guess……

PETER) : An understandable situation! How did you get your first break in the business?

KRUIZ) : I went to train with NWA Hammerlock, and was on shows about six months later. Then I went to work for FWA, and appeared on TV on Channel 4 and DVD’s.

PETER) : Who trained you to wrestle?

KRUIZ) : A combination of people really, but mainly Jon Ryan, The New Breed, Alex Shane, Tony Scarlo, and Flash Barker.

PETER) : What were your first matches like?

KRUIZ) : My first matches were hard. It was hard to adapt to being a wrestler, rather than a striker. I still won them though….I just kicked them in the head. It seemed to work!

PETER) : How would you describe yourself as a wrestler, for those who may not know you?

KRUIZ) : I'm a combination of kicker and Japanese strong style. Most of my arsenal of moves damage the neck and back. And I'm arrogant you might say…but just call it unwavering confidence. Its fun to beat the s**t out of people and d**k around at the same time!!!

PETER) : What is your favourite match that you’ve been involved in so far, and who have been your favourite opponents?

KRUIZ) : Best match? That would have to be a five round stiff strongstyle match against Curve from the New Breed. I won but I have respect for that dude. My favourite opponent? It would have to be my tag team partner ‘Mr Showtime’ Rich ‘ N’ Famous. He knows my style so well that it makes it interesting to fight him.

PETER) : Who are your better friends in the business?

KRUIZ) : Not many really, you don’t need them when you're me. The main ones are Rich ‘N’ Famous, Brian Braddock and Jade.

PETER) : What would you consider your lowest and highest points in wrestling so far?

KRUIZ) : The lowest point would be losing the TLC match and our titles to Fatpower!! We got screwed!! The high point would be winning the ACW Tag Titles for the first time. Dude, we partied all night believe me!!!

PETER) : What do you like to do in your spare time?

KRUIZ) : I just like to chill. I watch lots of films. And of course I have a love for the ladies. I like to share the player lurve.

PETER) : What five words would you feel describe you best?

KRUIZ) : Fighter, arrogant, tough, funny, and obviously player.

PETER) : What are your main plans for the future?

KRUIZ) : To keep kicking ass wherever I am. The rest is none of your business, dude.

PETER) : What are your thoughts on WWE and TNA, and the indy's?

KRUIZ) : WWE sucks. TNA have some good talent, and I have worked shows in England with the likes of AJ Styles and Chris Daniels; so I respect those dudes. Indy's? I don't watch them.

PETER) : Who do you like to watch and learn from?

KRUIZ) : The main dudes are Kenta and Chris Jericho.

PETER) : Where do you see the direction of wrestling going over the next couple of years?

KRUIZ) : I think it needs to find a stable ground before it can go anywhere really. It's hard in this country. You've just got to keep it entertaining to the crowds. More wrestlers need to be showmen, as well as hit hundreds of moves a minute.

PETER) : Imagine - you're a promoter, what kind of show would you be looking to put on?

KRUIZ) : A mixture of styles. You've got to keep it exciting, or you fail.

PETER) : How do you feel the business has changed since you first became a part of it, and do you feel your attitude has changed also?

KRUIZ) : Dude, your questions suck. My attitude is still the same as when I first started…to win!!!

PETER) : Where do you think you would be, if not for wrestling?

KRUIZ) : I would have gone back to martial arts. But hey, I earn much much more money in the Players Club.

PETER) : And to finish, is there anything you'd like to promote, or anyone you'd like to thank?

KRUIZ) : I'd like to say a big "sup" to Rich and Braddock for draggin my ass out of retirement. I needed the challenge. I bet you're all glad im back, eh Petey? Dude….you're boring me and your hair sucks. Laters and holla holla!!
