Three men go to a restaurant and have dinner.
They each pay £10 towards their £30 bill.
The waiter realises the bill should have been £25. He runs after them, giving them each £1, while craftily pocketing the other £2.
Each man paid £9, a total of £27. Added to the £2 in the waiter's pocket, that makes £29.
Where is the missing pound ? :? |

The actual meal NEVER came to £30.
The meal was £25, the three men each got £1 and the waiter kept £2.
So ...... 25+2+1+1+1=30. |
