Most memorable day

Have you ever woken up, got dressed and then had a really unexpected and memorable moment?

Something that just doesn't happen everyday and will probably never again?

I was alone in house one evening when my daughter was about 7, Jim was on mights. I worked part time in the bar with 2 lovely guys but they were also nuts and pranksters.
Anyways, I was feeling down and blue, a bit unloved....u know how it can be sometimes :(
This knock came to my door about 8pm on a dark but very still, calm night. I opened the door and there was this guy sat on a tall barstool, wearing a cowboy hat, fringed jacket (oh yes trousers too!). He was playing the guitar and singing "Annie's song". Upon my doorstep was a single red rose. I tried to ask questions to find out what was going on but he just kept singing. The sound carried up the street and neighbours were looking out their windows/curtains twitching. Then I heard the soft tittering nearby. There they were, the 2 rascals hid behind my wheelie bin giggling like two schoolkids.
I brought them all in for coffee and we had a good natter and laff. It really made my evening and cheered me up to know that I had made 2 good friends in Philip and Maurice....oh and of course, thanks to the performer as well :) I think about it anytime I feel down and it reminds me of the fun we used to have when I worked in the pub.

Anyway, this is my last post til 26 July due to holidays :) So leave your stories and I can have a good old read on my return. I will share some more with you in return :)

that was just the sweetest story :) aw wish someone would do something like that for me.

the 1 time i totally rememeber was when i got flowers sent to me at work.

i was single and just had a student nurse (male) out with me for a week.

i had an urgent message on my pager from the girls in the office saying could i come back something had arrived for me (they thought)

so i trotted off back to the office.

the flowers were addressed to Shelly Brook!

I said well thats not me, i darent open the card as the flowers probably arent for me, the girls were like go on go on so eventually i did.

the card read thanks for a great week, love M

well i was totally confused so text the student nurse.

he replied did u like them? i said are they for me? he replied yes do u like them? i said i do now i know there for me. he was like why what u mean? i said Shelly Brook?

he was like OH MY GOD i didnt do that did i?

i was like errrrrrr yeah

he said i'm so sorry i was watching Kelly Brook on TV last night and got u both muddled up :?

how flattering :D

was really nice to get flowers to the office though
