This is a poem I just wrote about someone I had to say goodbye to on Friday.
“Gone”
Now you’re gone,
I’m distracting my mind,
Trying to think of anything else,
But all I think about is you.
You were everything,
Everything I ever wanted.
You were the stars in the sky,
The water in the ocean.
I just let you slip away,
And disappear from my life.
How could I be so stupid?
Why didn’t I tell you?
Why couldn’t you see,
That you meant everything to me?
If I could have you,
I wouldn’t need anything else in the world.
You were the words I spoke,
The air I breathed.
You are perfect,
In every possible way.
I love you.
I just wish I could’ve told you. |
