Lordi is a melodic hard rock band from Finland, and winners of the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest, formed in 1996 by Tomi Putaansuu (known as 'Mr. Lordi') of Rovaniemi, Arctic Circle. They are mostly known for their unusual monster costumes and lyrical themes.
LORDI himself..
I think they look great and we could do with some more excitement in the music industry

| I LOVE Lordi. I was a huge fan about 2/3 years before they were in the eurovision and I was so excited when they won. I was basically going around school yelling "Vote for Finland" everyday, looks like they may have done :-p |

| They're taking the p*** a bit, however they do have some decent songs if you look past the image (unlike a certain Mr Manson). The fact that a band like that can win Eurovision can only be a good thing. |

| I think their songs are going down in quality. I tried listening to their newest album and I just didn't like it. Their older stuff is a lot better. |
