The film starts off in 2006, with a young girl running from something and into her new home set in the woods, only to find its a dream after being woken up by her mother.
Her mother sees a porcilin doll on the floor and a letter from the attic which are very old and decides to read the letter....
The film is set in 1817 based on a true story where a curse is thought to have been put upon a father and his precious daughter by a witch.
The ghost is terrifingly like the exorcist slapping and pulling his daughters besty's hair.
Nobody knows where the ghost came from and why it only haunts the father and daughter.
But the truth is the ghost is only here to have its revenge as Betsi's father sexually abused the ghost girl and is trying to make Betsi see and remember that her father also sexually abused her as she thought it was just the ghost!
I wont say any more (cos I think Ive said enough there)but lets just say the Ghost comes back to future to help the young girl at the beginning of the review!
This film was brilliant and very unpredicatable and also based on true events!
Watch it, but not in the dark!!!
