Bloodshot Dawn
Bloodshot are a band from Hampshire, England. Bsd play a range of metal from thrash to death metal, by giving off screaming, double bass peddle, and ripping guitar solo's Bsd give off a progressive death metal feel. The band formed in 2002 without Josh and Dan.
Josh soon became part of the band, as he was in Nicks first band. Dan join'd in early 2004, when Bloodshot did there second recording in which Serial Killer was recorded. With the coming of Dan, a new progressive sound came.
Bloodshot Dawn are bought together with many inspirations, range from Metallica to Children of Bodom and beyond.
Interview
How long have you guys been together?
We have been together since the end of 2003 so almost 2 years now
How did you meet?
We met at College and schoool
What are your musical influences?
They range from metallica to children of bodom to hatebreed to even square pusher.
How did you come up with your bands name?
Bloodshot Dawn derived from Bloodshot.......... Dawn sounded good
What are your plans for touring this year?
We have a tour planned for the summer we are from the south so its starting around mid july and we are going to play in cornwall, dorset, weybridge, poole, brighton, portsmouth, guildford and southampton maybe more places.
Which band at the moment that has made it big over the last year do you respect the most?
Gutworm, this is because of there detemination over the
last 5 years they have pushed so hard and they have got there playing the heavyiest music about, and there amazing at what they do!
How would you describe your music to people?
Our music is very powerful we try and have a raw metal sound which is true to our roots, we use double bass peddle, screaming and fast shredding solo to give give a mondern rendition on classic metal. We also try and make our music progressive.
Which is the best venue you have played at?
The wedgewood rooms Portsmouth is probably the best place we have played, the sound is amazing and many high key bands play there.
Explain to us what you do on a ‘normal’ day?
Im always writing we love to write and create new ideas so we are practising alot of the time other than that we like drinking and playing computers :) .
Can you let us in on any secrets as to what the future holds for your band?
Yeah we have alot planned we are gonna try and releae our debut album early 2006 and have gigs lined up with acts like gutworm, fony and even Napalm Death possible, for this year we are gonna push our music up the Uk and see what people think.
