Fall Out Boy are a new band that I have heard recently being played by Jo Whiley on Radio 1. I instantly fell in love with the song Sugar, We're Goin Down so I thought I would write a quick review on them and let you know a little bit about their background.
Fall Out Boy were brought to life a little over one year ago. The Chicago based band formed after Pete Wentz decided to leave the band he was in and join forces with good friend and guitarist Joe Trohman and began writing pop songs for fun. The dynamic duo stumbled upon Patrick Strump, and without ado Patrick found himself as the vocalist of the newly born band. The trio were now in search for a drummer. After loads of auditions and many members coming and going, the band's try-fail-try method teamed them up with an old friend, Andy Hurley. Fall Out Boy knew they had found the perfect combination.
From Under The Cork Tree which was released in 2005 is overflowing with potential hit singles. It also contains some funny song titles such as Our Lawyer Made Us Change the Name of This Song So We Wouldn't Get Sued and I Slept With Someone in Fall Out Boy and All I Got Was This Stupid Song Written About Me. I am hopefully going to purchase this album once pay day has been and gone. I am expecting great things for these guys throughout 2006.

Awesome review! I'm gonna get their album next time I have some spare cash!
I think I might do a couple of reviews too btw, seeing as I bought 4 CDs this week.. lol. |
