I dont know about everyone else, but I have found that music has the ability to *take you back* to a particular time in your life, or bring back memories.

I went through a bit of a Rasta stage and whenever I hear any song from Bob Marley it instantly transports me back to that time of my life. Most Reggae has that effect on me, but particularitly Bob Marley.

Saturday Night Fever reminds me of A club in SA called Raffels where I won a dance competition and got to go to the States to compete.

Gerry Rafferty's Baker street was the first slow dance I had with my first love.

You are soooo right Twinkletoes.

Well mine would have to be:-

Vincent (Don McLean) - reminds me of my first real grown up love. He was called Vincent. Vincent Van Gough had his ear cut off.......my Vincent should have had his**** cut off!....soz but it is true.

Then there is Black Magic Woman - Santana version. Oh e'er can't tell you why :D

I believe in Miracles (where u from u sexy thing) - Hot Chocolate. Really lurve this one but again I can't tell you why. :D

Leader of the Pack - The Shangrilas. Sniff....reminds me of a holiday romance. He was called Johnny and he crashed his motorbike into a wall and died. I just happened not to be on the back of him....stroke of luck

Tainted Love - Soft Cell. It was the UK number one the day I was married :sunny:

Music of the night - from Phantom of the opera. I had it sang to me over the breakfast table once :!:

Kingston Town - UB40 Absolutely love it. Always reminds me of holidays in Greek Islands and also holiday in Dominican Republic. Mind u that also then reminds me of the silliest thing I did......got my hair braided in beads.....all over. It looked hideous

Ooooh Twinkletoes.....I could go on and on for ever about this one.

Yeh, so can I go on and on. I have always loved music and have pretty much listened to it every moment of my life where possible, so i have so many memories attached to so many songs. I can be sitting here working, and a song comes on and i am instantly *translated* back to a certain thing that was happening while that song was playing. I have used songs to declare my love for someone and also do break up with them

Hi everyone

For me 'music is the food of love'

I am the ancient one so I will reflect back to Elle Fitizgerald - when I think of her music my world has no war, no famine, everyone has what they need - music then makes everything right
