Robben raring to go at Gunners
By Chris Stanton - Created on 18 Dec 2005

Arjen Robben intends to dismiss claims that a succession of injuries could scupper his Chelsea future by producing a match-winning performance against Arsenal on Sunday.

The Dutchman has endured a stop-start season but impressed on his return against Middlesbrough in The Blues' 1-0 win last time out.

With his match fitness now returning, Robben is confident of producing another dynamic performance when Chelsea visit Highbury, live on Sky Sports 1.

And that may be a requirement with Jose Mourinho hinting that Robben must justify his place in the side having missed much of the champions' defence with a recurring hamstring injury.

"I had the problems last season but I came back in the summer and felt really good and suddenly I had a problem with my hamstring," said Robben.

"Three times it's held me back just when I thought I was ready to go.

"I don't see myself as injury prone, I can't do anything about it if the hamstring goes three times in exactly the same place.

"I'm not letting anybody down because I can't help being injured.

"Now I'm just working my socks off to get back into the side."

R.I.P OSGOOD

To some hymn (The First Noel)

Out from the Shed,
Come a rising young star,
Scoring goals past Pat Jennings from near and from far.
And Chelsea won,
As we all knew they would,
And the star of that great team was Peter Osgood.

Osgood, Osgood, Osgood, Osgood.
Born is the ki-ing of Sta-amford Bridge!

Gerry & The Pacemakers
ยป You'll Never Walk Alone

When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of the storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver
Song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams
Be tossed and blown.
Walk on
walk on
With hope in your hearts
I And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone.
Walk on
walk on
