Name: William Regal

Height: 6 foot 2
Weight: 245 pounds
From: Blackpool, England
Finishing Move: The Power of the Punch
Career Highlights: WCW Television Champion; Intercontinental Champion; European Champion; World Tag Team Champion; WWE Commissioner; Alliance Commissioner

William Regal is one of WWE’s most smug and haughty Superstars, finding most others crass and downright unworthy of his time – and believe it or not, he still remains a respected fan favorite despite all of this. A distinguished Brit, Regal is also a master politician and scoundrel, who when necessary will be in cahoots with powerful yet unsavorily types doing their evil bidding. And while presenting himself as a dignified man away from the ring, Regal is a sadistic mat wrestler, taking great pleasure in torturing his adversaries with submissions tying his opponents into virtual pretzels!

Learning the ropes as a young teenager, this Blackpool native traveled across the United Kingdom wrestling as part of carnivals. Facing off against challengers from the carnival circuit as well as from the crowd, Regal quickly earned a reputation as a lethal limey with fists of iron and dozens of different holds to render his adversaries into submission. Always interested in sharpening his tools as a wrestler, Regal would journey across the world, wrestling in Europe, the Middle East and Japan and WCW before finally hitting it big in WWE in 2000.

However, it wasn’t until the surly Englishman came to WWE that he truly came into his own. From memorable moments such as joining Mr. McMahon’s Kiss My Ass Club to a stint as Commissioner in a war against Mick Foley, Regal has been an undeniably crafty Smackdown Superstar.
