Name: Nunzio
Height: 5 foot 6
Weight: 175 pounds
From: Queens, N.Y.
Finishing Move: Kiss of Death/Arrivederci
Career Highlights: ECW Tag Team Champion; Cruiserweight Champion
Current Events:
Associates: Vito
A proud and pushy Italian American, Nunzio isn’t afraid to get in your face and give you a little bit of his New York attitude. Armed with quite the fiery temper, which has been both a blessing and problem over the years, Nunzio is one versatile competitor, having success in the cruiserweight division as well in tag team competition since debuting on Smackdown in 2003.
Prior to joining WWE, Nunzio enjoyed success in Extreme Championship Wrestling starting in 1996 when he co-founded the tag team the Full Blooded Italians (“FBI). Winning the ECW Tag Team Championship.
A scrappy opportunist, Nunzio reformed the FBI in WWE in fall of 2004 before setting out as a singles competitor with designs on winning the Cruiserweight Championship of the World.
A competitive cruiserweight, in the summer of 2005 Nunzio began complaining about getting no respect from his fellow Smackdown Superstars in the cruiserweight division and promised changes were coming. And on August 6, those promises became a reality when Nunzio forced the entire cruiserweight division to respect him when he defeated Paul London to win the Cruiserweight Championship of the World. Of course, it didn’t hurt that Nunzio had a little help from his paisan “the Sicilian Silencer Vito who made his controversial WWE debut aiding Nunzio in securing the championship.
With the recent addition of his old neighborhood friend from Little Italy, Vito, there’s no denying that Nunzio isn’t just going to get some respect but is also a force to reckon with. |
