Excelling at being back-up and muscle for his allies, Danny Basham has made a career out of being a human weapon for anyone who names the right price. Second only to Danny’s tough guy enforcing skills are his accomplishments as a tag team wrestler. Enjoying great success with his brother, Doug, as the Basham Brothers, the duo waged havoc on SmackDown! dating back nearly two years to 2003 when they debuted.
Using torturous double team maneuvers, such as “Brain Damage�, the Bashams won WWE Tag Team Championship gold on two separate occasions. Of course, it didn’t hurt that they were able to trick their opponents and officials illegally switching with the other Basham to enable a “fresh� partner to secure the win for the team. Danny’s innovative, yet dirty tactics as part of the Basham Brothers tag team caught the eye of John Bradshaw Layfield, leading to him enlisting them as his Secretaries of Defense as part of his Cabinet.
As time went on, JBL began to abuse his privileges of having Danny as one of his enforcers. Reaching a limit to their threshold, the Bashams eventually quit the Cabinet, leaving JBL high and dry in his time of need. Indeed, never trust a Basham – particularly Danny Basham.
Recently, Danny was traded to RAW as part of the 2005 Draft Lottery, leaving his brother Doug on Smackdown. How will the silent enforcer prove himself now that he has been forced to go solo? Only time will tell. |
