Whilst I was in America Ant and I decided to take advantage of the films that were available on our TV system in our room, so we decided to watch Sin City, I had been told from various people that this film was definitely worth a watch so I had high expectations.
With a very star studded cast consisting of Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Benicio Del Toro, Clive Owen, Elijah Wood, Brittany Murphy and Josh Harnet and was Directed by Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller whose novels the film was based on. Sin City is a violent city where the police department is as corrupt as the streets are deadly.
The films story line has the same kind of layout as the story lines in Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs it jumps from story to story and in some way all the different characters stories are connected.
The film is shot in black and white and red, which has an amazing effect on the viewer, it uses the exact hard-nosed dialogue and iconic camera shots from the acclaimed graphic novels. The film is so full of gleeful graphic violence and raw, steaming sexuality it has had everyone that I know that has watched it glued to their seat!
If you haven’t seen it yet, it is now out on DVD to buy in the shop and available for hire and I suggest you go out and get it!
