Well in the 70's we were able to buy a quarter of sweets from the sweet shop.

Fudge bars seemed so big as did wagon wheels compared to today's version, milky ways were the sweet you could eat between meals without ruining you appetite they also tasted different in the 70's.

music

bay city rollers
rubettes
sweet
glitter band
mud
showaddywaddy
barry white
roy wood and wizard

when my mind is working better I will add to this list

what about Chelsa whoppers I thinks thats what they called them I think you can still get them but now they are called whoppers and do you remember those paper flying saucers with the fizz in the middle. What about Spangles do you remember those and Tootie Frooties. Then there was the advert for Opal Fruits which went Opalfruits, made to make your mouth water

I just remembered about this Creamola foam came in a small tin was like powder you put it in a glass of water there was different flavours.

Creamola foam came in the form of colourful crystals which were dissolved in cold water to form a sweet, effervescent drink. It was packaged in a small tin labelled with a cartoon girl and boy drinking with straws.

The drink came in Raspberry, Orange and Lemon flavours. Cola flavour was a later addition to the range.

I may also add that there is a petition to bring it back you can sign it here
http://www.petitiononline.com/cremola/petition.html

The recipe was subsequently lost so no one else could reproduce it.

Now, I believe that an unopened tin has been found in the Orkney Islands (or some remote place like that). This tin is to be carefully opened under laboratory conditions and analysed.
