Hello all I am new here and really dont know how this works, I am moving to Melbourne June 2005 as a RMN. hope to talk to people from this area. Lots of love Maria :)
I am 39? lol and coming over with two children, very nervous, and have alot to do before next year . Hope I have made the right choice lol

Welcome Maria
Dont be shy to ask how things work. :) I know exactly how you feel. When I was deciding to leave South Africa I was terrified. There is a lot of planning to do practically and also the fear of the unknown and the worry about if I was doing the right thing. I guess you will only know once you have got there if you have done the right thing. I know for definate that I did make the right choice. It was very hard at first leaving all my family and friends, but I eventually made new ones and I am very happy and settled here. I am sure that uk events will become a kind of *network* for folk living all over the world. I know I have met a lot of my friends through a website similar to this. It has been really cool to chat to people who you can relate to. I do know of a few people who have emigrated to Aus and they are very happy there. The weather is fantastic and they just love the way of life there.
Stick around here, I am sure that there will be a few folk from Aus who can give you all kinds of usefull information.
Good luck with the move and remember .... nothing ventured nothing gained. It takes a lot of guts to move countries.

Hi got your message I lived in South Africa 15 years went to school there, I then came back to UK, and now going to Australia I was in SA 74 till 83. Funny how you meet people.
