August 16th 1977..
My sister comes into my bedroom to wake me up with the news she herd on the radio ...
Elvis Presley the king of rock has died ..
I was half asleep when she told me and thought it was all a dream ..
when I woke up and got out of my bed the dream had turned into reality ...
It was true it did really happen ..
it was like the end of the world ...
No one could believe the king was dead ..
How could this happen ....
I can still remember the coffin with a glass top so people could veiw the king ..
In the papers he looked like a wax version of him ..
His funeral was massive ....as I can remember ..
Elvis today is still remembered by all generations ..
rest in peace and long live the king of rock ..
Just asked my 10 year old son who Elvis was he said yes ..
He wears white clothes and sing a little less conversation ..
Elvis AAron Presley died this day 16th August 1977 |

| Elvis like the Beatles was a bit before my time, but I have seen performances by Elvis on MTV and he was a great entertainer. |
