I've been loving this proggy for months now, and with the semi finals looming tomorrow night, thought I'd introduce yas all to it finally! :D
The basic premise is it's a reality TV show of sorts, with 13 (I think! :D) business men and women coming to live in a house (which thankfully for me ya don't see much of :D) and every week being given a business-related job by Sir Alan Sugar (massive shareholder in Tottenham F.C. and owner of computer firm Amstrad).
The members are split into 2 groups, the leader of the losing group each week has to select 2 other members of his/her group to go into a meeting of sorts with Sugar. He then grills 'em about how cack they are before firing one of 'em! :D
Each week the group have been wittled down, now it's the last 4 I think - 2 v 2! :D The last person standing as it were wins a perminant job as Sugar's apprentice of the title.
THe jobs each week vary, week before last they had to set up a stall on a farmer's market selling organic food, then last week they had to organise and present a 10 minute section on a live shopping channel!
Sugar is a real arsehole! He makes Simon Cowell look like a kitten! The man never smiles and expects no arse kissing or incompetence (his words!).
There's a recap of everything that's gone on so far at the start of the programme too to keep ya up to date :D
The site is:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/apprentice/ if ya wanna take a look :)
Sugar, not surprisingly, is the grumpy-looking bearded guy in the middle :D Out of those candidates, I've always thought Paul will be the winner! :D |

Hehe, yah, there's an immense amount of bitching!
They moan 'bout each other during the tasks, then sometimes snap at each other when someone screws 'em over and gets 'em fired! It's great! Arf! That Paul's massively arrogant, why I think he'll win! :D |

Tsk, and you as a successful businesswoman Amyster :P :D
Yesterday's one wasn't that good though I'll agree. It was an odd 'un in that they just had interviews, no real tasks for the first time so far. Always find Sugar's grumpiness entertaining though.
And the 2 men that got fired put their foot in it by mentioning how they're on more money already than the job they want is offering! :o My favourite to win got knocked out, so it's not 2nd favourite Tim in the live final next week. :D |

lol Not bad at all! :D
I thought the 4 fired finalists that came back to help with the last challenge were great sports for that! :) Then they had some hour-long proggy afterwards that mostly seemed to be a funny talk show!
And the classic quote of the series from Sir Alan Sugar.
"Tim...*points menacingly*..you're hired!" |
