Now this is a band that I am really into at the moment, so I thought they deserved a rightful place in Ashlee Talks Events and they are a band I am really looking forward to seeing at Reading Festival.
Leeds five-piece the Kaiser Chiefs rocked onto our scenes with I Predict A Riot, a master piece for a debut single. This song is fantastic and hits you the moment you hear it and you will not get it out of your head.
The Chiefs formed less than two years ago, when longtime friends Wilson, guitarist Andrew White, bassist Simon Rix, keyboardist Nick Baines and drummer Nick Hodgson joined forces.
When Kaiser Chiefs first 7" Oh My God reached No. 66 on the U.K. charts (a startling achievement for an unsigned band!!) doors opened for the group to share the stage with larger acts, consequently grabbing the attention of A&R scouts who wanted to sign them.
Then along came the album Employment in 2005, and what a treat it has proven to be. Each track boasts its own style, but the album also has the ability to flow effortlessly from one track to another without sounding too repetitive.
The Kaisers are definitely a band to watch over the next year, and with this little northern gem of an album it’s not difficult to see why.

Niceshhh review Amyster! Been wanting to find out who the feck they actually are for a while now! :D
I saw 'em on that ghastly CD: UK last week and thought they were good. I think it was my Mum's "what the hell is this din!?" comment that first attracted me to the TV! Not for MUm's, but ok for the rest of us. :D |

| Aye, mosh-tastic. :D Remind me a bit of Franz Ferdinand. It's amazing how all this like 60's rock homage bands are cropping up now! Must be a real new trend. :D |
