Has anyone heard it yet? I am listening to it right now on Radio 1. It is called Lyla and it is from the new album released in May called Don't Believe The Truth.
If you hear it let me know what you think!!

Oooh, I'll have to find and sample it. :D
As a proud Manc (and why the Hell not? :D)) I've seen Oasis go from strength to strength. Then Be Here Now came out.. :P Since then I've lost alot of respect and lurve for ma homeboys yo! :D
I'll be sure to see if they've improved with this one anyway. :) |

You were about 5 when they did their best work, so you are excused. :D
While I think Oasis went a lil' cack from '98 onwards, without them I don't believe music would be where it is today. Since Grant Nichols is apparently a massive Oasis fan, I doubt Feeder would've gone as Indie as they did for a start! :D
And of course, I grew up listening to Oasis and they are hometown boys, so I and many more people (especially Mancs) will always have respect for what they achieved no matter what they do. But I still prefer The Smiths.. :D |

Liam ain't too bad, but Noel is tone deaf. :D
But then 90% of acts on TOTP's these days can't sing either. :) The 'soul divas' like Anastasia and Joss Stone perhaps, but not alot else. |

Nah, he can't. :D Not in the traditional sense, but he is punk so he's not meant to anyway! :)
One of the ideas of punk is up-middle-finger- I-can't-sing-but-I-don't-care. :D Maybe that's why I like live-sounding punk tracks so much.. |

Ack, if he could sing like Whitney Houston he'd get to number 1. 'Cos he'd be singing friggin' pop songs! :D Heck, the worse a punk singer sings generally the better they are!
Look at Queens Of The Stone Age, Blink, Sum 41, Bowling For Soup, Happy Mondays, The Bravery, Nirvana. All quality punk acts (well, for Sum's first album anyway.. :D), but put any of 'em against the likes of Whitney in a Pop Idol-esquye contest and they'll get destroyed. :)
But remember! That's goooood! :D  |
