|
|
Ive just been talking to someone on msn who thinks its a tactic to dive and that its ok...but surely its not!?
i mean,ok if you only do it once or twice every few games and its innocent. But some people you notice do it all the time...for example(kills me to say this...) ronaldo DOES dive sometimes.I think it was the game against portsmouth(or somewhere near there) and he just COULDNT stay on his feet.Yes they may have a bad game...but that doesnt give them the right to start cheating does it?
what do you lot think about it?
sorry if ive rambled  |

i dont know about that.
i think with england is that diving is a very european thing, very italian and the whole play acting thing.
what with the influx of foreign players into the english game it's becoming more of a problem over here.
i still feel that players should get done for it, but referees should use more common sense with dishing out punishments for diving. |

its really frustrating too
did you see the chelea match on tuesday?
arjen robben was sooo annoying! he got tapped on the ankle then like 5 seconds later he just fell to the ground so dramticaly! then 2 mins later he did again!.... :x
and i feel refs are too lighthearted on the punishment of diving too...whats wrong with getting a card out every so often?? |

i didnt see it.
although recently i went to millwall to see west ham play there.
second half the referee booked marlon harewood for diving and as he'd been booked sent him off.
now the referee fails to consider the fact that marlon has just beaten the last defender (who is now on the floor and lunges at him) and is just 12 yards out and has a perfect scoring opportunity!
why would he dive? the replay also showed he didnt!
it's crazy
at times like that i think they need to consider video replays of incidents.
changes the whole game. |

| i think there does need to be occasions where they check videos, although it might ruin the game. |

Simple, send anyone off that is proved to have dived. :D
Video evidence during matches would be a great addition to footie I think, though the possiblity of pulling such a thing off during a game without effecting the playing time remains to be seen (stopping play for a minute every foul may be ok in a slower paced game like rubgy, but in the generally fast world of football (well, unless John O'Shea has the ball..), it would just ruin the flow).
A more logical step perhaps would be to judge if the player makes a sudden miraculous recovery, in which case he could be booked or even sent off. Also, a player should have to go off the poitch if he goes down.
Diving and racism certainly aren't clever and can only help ruin this wonderful sport for all. Sadly all incidents are done by idiots, and wherever there is mankind, there's idiots. :P :D |

nah i dont think it would be a good idea for video replays...well only for if the ball was over the line,or is it a penalty situations, coz like jon said - itll slow the pace of the game down and it wont be such a good atmosphere.
i say dont even go there  |
