on sunday, my band (the) on trial (organisation) were opening up the main stage at the nottingham rock city for the all day event put on by wasted/holidays in the sun.
17 of us crammed into the van to go up and after a torturous journey up, moaning of people needing to p***, too many beers (we're talking at 8.30 in the morning here!) we finally got to the venue at 12.20pm. we were due on stage at 12.35! it's the most rushed i've ever had to be to set up. didnt have a chance to tune any of my spare guitars, just had enough time to set the amp up and my wirless lead. and then we were on!
it was crazy, we played sooo f***ing well, we caused mayhem, we had loads of the crowd on the stage until the security pushed them all off and i went down the front on the barriers playing my guitar. we also had special guests on stage including satan himself and the amount of beer that was chucked was crazy, but it was one of the best shows we've played as a band, nice and tight - loved it!
then we had loads of bands on after us, on two stages including gbh, leftover crack, the filaments, peter and the test tube babies, sick on the bus, discharge and vice squad!
vice squad rocked so hard and beki bondage is still as stunning as ever!
so yeah i got drunk, i took loads of photos, we got interviewed by a radio station in a shower and all i did was giggle and swear so i'm bound to be edited out! ha ha ha! drunken guitarist in the corner!
and it was a nightmare on the way back with 17 people trying to sleep in the van - well 16 - not the driver, thank f**k! |

but 14 people all sharing balnkets + sleeping bags |
