I watched this film the other day, after trying to find it for ages at home and at the video shop.. it was on TV.

The beginning of the film is amazing, it is of a boy of about 10 stumbling down the a sunny suburban road covered in blood.

Jeff Bridges plays Michael Faraday, a college professor who lost his wife when her employers at the FBI messed up by giving her team the wrong information about about a so called terrorist.

He becomes friends with his seemingly harmless neighbors, played by Tim Robbins (Shawshank Redemption) and Joan Cusack, after saving the life of their son (the boy at the beginning).

Soon, however, Michael develops suspicions about Robbins' character. Why is he hiding blueprints? Why did he change his name? What did he have to do with the horrific destruction of a federal building several years ago?

This is where the plot thickens..I wont give any more away as I suggest you watch it for yourselves.

Arlington Road works better than most other commercial films because it concentrates on characters instead of huge explosions etc. It's an interesting, yet disturbing film that shows us that paranoia is the real enemy.
