lostprophets sat 20th nov

Wel where do i start?? Maybe with my excitement at still having a ticket to go and see them again on thursday as it was so good.

As head automatica had to pull out last minute, Lostprophets had to find a suitable replacement, and fast. After much debate by fans as to who would fill in (with fellow welshie band funeral for a friend being mentioned in there) it was finally decided and announced to the world. Step up Hondo Maclean (yes more welshies). Combining extremely loud music with screaming vocals they were perfect as the first warm up band, getting the crowd all riled up and ready for a great show.

The second support act go by the name of 18 Visions. A more mainstream band than Hondo Maclean but don't let that put you off! These orange county boys are tipped to go far and it was easy to see why. In the crowd were quite a substantial number of their fans who knew the words to some of their songs however i was not one of them! They ended their set with their song which can be seen on Kerrang and Scuzz called Waiting for the Heavens (finally a song i knew). And it worked, the crowd went wild for it and as soon as they left the stage everyone shuffled forward as it was getting closer to what we had all been waiting for.

So enter Lostprophets and hear that crowd roar. Ian Watkins taking the usual limelight as everyone's eyes are glued to him. They opened up with To Hell We Ride and boy did we! There was plenty of "pit" opportunities all through the night but there was particular emphasis for Make A Move, Start Something and Fake Sound Of Progress.The two songs from the 1st LP was Shinobi Vs Dragon Ninja and Fake Sound Of Progress but as the band are tired to death of the old album we have to take some consolation that they did those. A personal highlight of mine was the current single Goodbye Tonight and of course the anthem that is Last Summer. They ended the wonderful show with Burn Burn, but not before sincerely thanking every single person in the arena for making the effort to come.

Many misconceptions of mine were trashed as they do honestly seem like nice guys and the "arrogant persona" that they carry with themselves is actually self-belief...because if you don't believe in yourself, why would you expect anyone else to believe in you?

gutted i cudnt go to leeds/reading last yr but this time round i wil be there!! yeah im goin again on thurs so this time i wil be able to enjoy it more instead of take in everythin that happened!! you might get excited for me becoz i saw dougie from mcfly there which was very exciting!!
il be bak on tomoz but goin to watch im a celeb now

Yeah that is a great review! Nice one! I am so jelous! I wanted to go and see them! But I couldnt afford it! :?

you wanna know th best thing... i almost certain that dougie mcfly was in th crowd too!! i stood next to him and i swear it was def him!!! he looked exact th same at poll winners party so that made my night even more!!!

Y'see we go by a very simple formula:
Unless the bloke knows he's mega attractive to ladies (which believe it or not, 99% of men don't), he knows he has to 'cut his cloth accordingly' as the term goes, meaning an blatantly average shmuck like me is gonna have no chance at even talking to a Rachel Stevens lookalike at a part-ay. :)

Therefore we only expect anyone below us in our estimations to make passes at us (since usually the mega fit ladies are arrogant and wouldn't even look in a less-than-Johnny-Depp guy's direction :D).

So when a lovely lady does come up to us, we know she wants one of 2 things: free drinks for the night or they fancy us. Sometimes both, though usually the first for me. :lol:

hehe im a hijakker but in a good way!! woop it was jus as good last night as it was on sat but the crowd werent as active...they all jus pushed forwards which was a bit borin! i managed to "mosh" tho at every opportunity...much to th delight of everyone around me :lol:
they loved me really!! actually met them this time which was a bonus and was talkin to mick from 18visions (support act) for about half an hour!! a bit of harmless flirting never did anyone any harm :lol: except for th fact his dad was a roadie so kept a close eye on him! (damn my luck!)
