Mandela Concert Hyde Park
Get out at Hyde park corner and I am there. Yesterday saw Nelson Mandela majestic 90th birthday. Training for journalism roles enables me to hold license and my company pays the £46 to get me in. The whos whos of the world and music show showed, but who could upstaged to ex-South African President, a few tried. Annie Lennox, the Queen, Eddy Grant and the wonderous Amy Winehouse looking fantastic. It was Amy powerhouse that stole the show and won over the audience once again. And ending the night with an encore. My highlight was watching Will Smith enchate the crowd and bring them together with hands in the air to congratulate Mr Mandela on his achievements long may it continue
